Job Overview

This role is part of our regional finance team in Toronto and involves collecting and processing administrative and financial data for completing projects in Navision. The successful candidate will have experience in project or general accounting, preferably in a service industry, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to customers and determining job profitability.

Responsibilities:
  1. Creation of projects in Navision, including setting booking rules, start dates, durations, and budgets.
  2. Posting resources and surcharges to jobs, reviewing hours worked, materials used, work in progress, and actual project costs.
  3. Running the POC process monthly, liaising with operations to understand project costs or variances, and analyzing project profitability.
  4. Reviewing and explaining month-end Work In Progress (WIP) accounts, assisting with AR collections, booking purchase invoices, and creating Purchase Orders (POs) with vendors.
  5. Closing projects in the system once complete and maintaining customer profiles and AR files.
  6. Entering and checking data for international invoicing, processing corrections, sending invoices according to client POs, and maintaining the Invoice Tracker file.
Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in project or general accounting, preferably in a service industry, and possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance. Experience in the energy or service industries, Navision or Business Central, and full-cycle accounting is considered an asset.
