About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright Industrial Mechanic to join our team. As a Millwright Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations of plant utilities, machinery, and processes. You will work closely with our maintenance management software systems to facilitate Preventative Maintenance activities, work order management, and spare and replacement component purchasing.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, modifications, and rigging as required.
- Complete Preventative Maintenance work orders as per the PM schedule, providing accurate feedback on completion or additional work and materials required.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring all equipment is properly guarded and operating in a safe manner.
- Provide technical support to Human Resources, Processes, Products, and Equipment employed within the departments.
- Ensure a smooth hand-off with Technical Team Members on other shifts, promoting effective communication and transition.
- Participate in department team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety issues.
- Participate in 5 "S" activities and operational problem-solving to improve processes.
- Assist in the training and development of new team members.
- Measure success by maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing breakdowns, and ensuring machines are returned to production-ready state.
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
- Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
- Three to five years of practical experience preferred.
- Team player with the ability to work with others in a team-based environment.
- Reliable and mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
