Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Home Care Nurse. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and LTD coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan with company contribution.

Job Description

As a Home Care Nurse with VON, you will provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia. Your duties may include:

  • Diabetes management
  • Dialysis
  • IV medications
  • IV/CVAD care
  • Palliative care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Wound care; incl. negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in community health nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice. You should also have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required, and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
