Job Description
The Director of Teaching and Learning will play a pivotal role in driving academic excellence across our network of partner schools. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will collaborate with senior leaders to ensure high standards in new course development, evaluation strategies, and instructional content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accelerate competency development and enhance student academic achievement through effective course management and evaluations.
  • Cultivate summative evaluation strategies and item development in collaboration with Central Evaluations.
  • Study and adopt industry best practices from leading educational institutions to improve Rosedale's course content and evaluation practices.
  • Guide Project Management in developing practices to manage content development and quality assurance.

Teaching and Learning Practices Across Partner School Network
The Director of Teaching and Learning will be responsible for:
  • Developing structured practices to guide Rosedale Global High School's community-level instructional excellence.
  • Providing effective strategies and approaches to accelerate the student learning process, improve academic English skills, and enhance learning outcomes across the Rosedale partner school network.
  • Offering guidance to the Head of Teacher Teaching to further enhance Rosedale teacher development programs.
  • Participating in program leadership meetings with priority partner schools.

Advocacy and Partnership Development
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
  • Advocating Rosedale's Global Education Leadership and international curriculum solutions through conferences, speeches, presentations, webinars, and meetings with various stakeholders and audiences.
  • Collaborating with Rosedale University Relations and Education Partnership Development on diverse educational leadership initiatives.
  • Working with the Rosedale marketing team to promote Rosedale's international curriculum solutions and the academic excellence of teaching and learning.
  • SUPPORTING Rosedale partnership development through academic presentations to perspective partners.

Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 10 years of academic leadership experience at the K-12 level.
  • Extensive leadership experience in teaching and learning, with structured methodology and practice development capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge and leadership experience in curriculum development and content effectiveness assessment.
  • Deep understanding of teaching management and academic measurements in schools.
  • Proven track record of success in developing methodologies and practices to improve teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English; University degree.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Benefits and Others
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The candidate should be able and willing to commute to Rosedale's HQ Office in Markham at least two days a week.
