Job Title: Plumber Journeyman/Woman

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Journeyman/Woman to join our team at Pipestrong Plumbing and Heating Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. They will also instruct apprentices and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on plumbing techniques
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
