Job Summary
The Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation Services Specialist is responsible for the caseload of outpatient and inpatient programs at OSMH. This role requires a Master's degree in Physical Therapy with evidence of ongoing professional development, current registration with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy, and eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with neurological and orthopaedic diagnoses in the acute and rehabilitation phases.
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with community partners.
- Prioritize and organize caseload to deal effectively and efficiently with competing demands.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and services.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- 1-3 years of experience working with patients of various ages with neurological and orthopaedic diagnoses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
