We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Registered Nurse in our Internal Medicine unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care course, or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrhythmia interpretation course plus one year's recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate.
- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to promote person-centered care and patient advocacy.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to problem-solve effectively.
