Job Summary

Olymel S.E.C/L.P is seeking a skilled Meat Processing Specialist to join our team in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Slaughter and Processing: Slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
  • Cutting and Preparation: Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use.
Work Environment

Our meat processing plant operates in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity. As a Meat Processing Specialist, you will be working in a cold/refrigerated environment with exposure to odours and dust.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a meat processing environment is an asset.
Physical Demands

The Meat Processing Specialist role requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will also be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.

Personal Qualities
  • Team Player: We are looking for a team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Olymel S.E.C/L.P offers a competitive salary and benefits package as per the collective agreement. This is a permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week.
