We are seeking a highly skilled and certified dental assistant to join our team at Dr. J.E. Thibault Dent. Prof. Corp.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for dental examinations, preparing dental instruments and filling materials, sterilizing and maintaining instruments and equipment, educating patients concerning oral hygiene, and performing intra-oral duties.
Responsibilities:- Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare patients for dental examinations, prepare dental instruments and filling materials, sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
- Patient Education: Educate patients concerning oral hygiene.
- Intra-oral Duties: Perform intra-oral duties, take and develop X-rays, record dental procedures performed on patients.
- Certifications and Licenses: Possess Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Certification and Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word.
- Security and Safety: Possess immunization records and a criminal record check.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, sitting, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, hand-eye coordination.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, team player, accurate, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, initiative, interpersonal awareness, reliability.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
