Job Title: Certified Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at Dr J.E. Thibault Dent. Prof. Corp.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for dental examinations, preparing dental instruments and filling materials, sterilizing and maintaining instruments and equipment, educating patients concerning oral hygiene, and performing intra-oral duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and dental care
  • Perform intra-oral duties, including taking and developing X-rays
  • Record dental procedures performed on patients
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Healing arts radiation protection (HARP) Certification
  • Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board
  • MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word skills
  • Immunization records and criminal record check
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, and physically demanding conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
