About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our Nitinol Shape Memory WATCHMAN team. As a key member of our team, you will provide line support and support key projects for improved process control and higher production capacity.

This role will partner with representatives from R&D, Design Assurance, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production. You will take the lead in addressing quality issues in a dynamic production environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification, and manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing existing process controls.
  • Investigate, identify, and implement best-in-class Quality Engineering practices.
  • Lead the implementation of process control, corrective or preventive action solutions designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Engage production teams across all shifts to develop solutions leading to improved outgoing quality.
  • Provide leadership on championing departmental or cross-functional engineering initiatives.
  • Provide project direction, coaching, and mentoring engineering and technical team personnel.
  • Ensure the development and execution of streamlined business systems which effectively identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in team decision making and display team problem-solving/communication skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience owning cross-functional improvement and/or corrective action projects.
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, etc.).
  • Self-starter with proven ability to successfully work with minimal supervision.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner with high attention to detail.
