Equipment Breakdown Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Equipment Breakdown Specialist to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation.
This hybrid role can be based out of our Toronto or Mississauga office and offers a unique blend of remote and in-person work.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of strategic product plans to drive growth and profitability.
- Develop and manage underwriting guidelines, authority statements, and referral processes to optimize performance.
- Conduct market research and gather intelligence on competitor products and services.
- Research and evaluate technology-based solutions for pricing, underwriting, risk assessment, and loss mitigation opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new growth and profitability opportunities through technical research and relationship building.
- Assist in portfolio management through governance best practices, profitability, and growth analysis.
- Perform technical underwriting audits and communicate changes to underwriting guidelines and new products.
- Provide underwriting training and lending expertise to colleagues and distribution underwriters.
- University degree or college diploma, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in underwriting, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and persuasion skills.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Digital and data acumen, with a strong understanding of how data can support and facilitate the customer and underwriter experience.
- CIP designation is a must, with FCIP and/or CRM designation being an asset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and eligibility to work in Canada.
