About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Kirkton Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process laboratory samples for diagnostic testing
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
  • Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on preventative care
  • Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist with animal dentistry
  • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment

Requirements:

  • College diploma or certificate in veterinary technology or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or related setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
