Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Kirkton Veterinary Clinic. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in their daily tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze samples for laboratory testing
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
  • Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on preventative care
  • Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
  • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Provide wound and bandage care
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in veterinary technology
  • 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
