Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Plumber to join our team at Johnson Controls. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will assist our experienced plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems in a large manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Journeyman Plumbers in installation, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing and heating systems.
  • Perform tasks such as brazing/soldering copper pipe, working with PVC pipe, and using hand and power tools.
  • Participate in clean-ups to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Adhere to safety policies and wear protective equipment as required.

Requirements

  • Registered as an apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.
  • Ability to work under supervision, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.
  • Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Year-round work in an indoor environment.
  • Work in a town setting with physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
  • Overtime as required and adherence to safety policies.
