Job Summary

The Senior Advisor, Communications & Community Engagement will lead the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies, enhancing the organization's public profile and ensuring consistent messaging across multiple channels.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or community engagement, preferably in a government, public infrastructure, or corporate setting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive communication and community engagement strategies to support project goals and organizational priorities.
  • Leading the planning and execution of public consultation initiatives, ensuring meaningful community involvement in project developments.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders and clients.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and approving content for newsletters, social media, website updates, and other communication materials.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure that communications and engagement strategies are aligned with project timelines and objectives. They will also advise senior leadership on communication and public engagement matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional proofreading abilities, strong writing skills, and proficiency in research methodologies. They should also have an understanding of market trends and be able to effectively position communications strategically. Public speaking skills and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications include a University Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field, and 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or community engagement.

Benefits

STRABAG INC offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and knowledge. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
