Bouchier is seeking a highly experienced Site Manager to oversee daily operations at the CNRL Horizon, Common Services Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth site operations, scheduling employees, organizing training sessions, and conducting performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce workplace policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with time and budget constraints.
  • Meet quality standards, auditing progress of ongoing projects and keeping upper-level management informed of project status and any special concerns.
  • Critically review work orders, invoices, packing slips, and LEMs, inspecting job sites to ensure conformance of subcontractors and site employees to established worksite policies and practices.
  • Ensure safety and quality assurance programs are observed, and understand contracting methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
  • Assist with maintaining the contracting schedule and work efficiency over the course of the entire duration of the project.
  • Conduct Lost Prevention Observation (LPO) with Site Safety, meet regularly with site leadership to review current policies and procedures, and manage all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers.
  • Represent the organization at site meetings, business meetings, supplier, and contractor sites, and review and administer short and medium-range operational plans, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil sands and light civil construction, demonstrating extensive industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required, and Class 1 or 3 license is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, and previous experience managing 200+ employees is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite, and previous experience with Maximo is considered an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to read and understand construction work packages and related documents.
  • Applicants must have the ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
