Our client, a renowned Oil & Gas Construction Company with over 50 years of experience, is seeking an Industrial Carpenter Assistant to join their team for an exciting opportunity in the oil and gas sector. This is a chance to apply your Industrial/Carpenter craftsmanship in a challenging and rewarding role, with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork, and opportunities for growth and reward.

Position Overview:

  • Supporting a team of experienced Journeyman Carpenters.
  • Assisting in the construction of installing formwork systems to meet project specifications.
  • Ensuring high-quality results for the client on time and within budget.
  • Leading by example in safety compliance and promoting a culture of zero incidents on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in various on-site work, including assistance around constructing and installing concrete setup and formwork systems.
  • Working with concrete and materials.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety while working independently.
  • Promoting a zero-incident safety culture in line with corporate safety policies.
  • Varying other site duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Industrial, commercial, carpentry experience with concrete work/experience, including formwork.
  • Experience in formwork, framing, grade beams would be an asset.
  • Any Safety certifications such as CSTS, First Aid, H2S, and would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and take instruction well.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Fitness to work in these conditions and able to lift more than 50lbs at times and working in key climate weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
  • Current and Valid driver's License.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid open work permit).
