About the Role:

Excel Personnel is seeking an exceptional leader to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the Chief and Council, this individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence and leading various initiatives in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the board to develop 3-year strategic plans and annual operational plans.
  • Industry Initiatives: Lead public committees, workshops, education, and training programs to promote industry growth and development.
  • Communications & Marketing: Oversee communications, marketing, and lobbying efforts to enhance the organization's reputation and visibility.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare quarterly financial statements, annual budgets, and revenue projections to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Organizational Development: Ensure efficient organizational structure, operational continuity, and effective leadership to drive business success.
  • Human Resources: Empower, mentor, and motivate employees, consultants, and volunteers to foster a positive work environment.
  • Community Engagement: Act as a media spokesperson, enhance market awareness, and engage with volunteers and the community to promote the organization's mission and values.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership, motivation, and visionary skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and human relations skills.
  • Strong understanding of revenue generation and financial management.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience.
  • Post-secondary education or training.
  • Experience with First Nations organizations is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary of $110,000 to $130,000 depending on experience.
