About the Job

We are seeking a seasoned Tour Director to join our team at Arctic Range Adventure. As a key member of our excursions department, you will be responsible for leading groups of travelers on immersive and enriching experiences throughout Canada.

Job Description

This is a full-time permanent position that involves:

  • Driving sightseeing or tour vehicle
  • Confirming transportation and accommodation reservations
  • Collecting administration or entrance fees
  • Co-ordinating recreation activities
  • Describing points of interest, answering questions, and supplying information
  • Resolving itinerary and other problems
  • Ensuring and monitoring luggage transfers
  • Assisting clients with check-in procedures for accommodations and/or transportation
  • Utilizing microphones or other communication devices to provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors
  • Attending to international border crossings
  • Co-ordinating activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups
  • Providing information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion, and other details
  • Selling souvenirs
  • Assisting clients/guests with special needs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid driver's license
  • A willingness to travel and work in various environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • A First Aid Certificate
  • A CPR Certificate
  • Experience as a tour guide or in a related field is an asset

Location
