About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Designer to join our team at Northcott Silk Inc. as an Exhibit and Display Fabric Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality fabrics for various exhibits and displays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom fabrics for exhibits and displays, including scenic environments, costumes, and lighting.
  • Collaborate with exhibit designers to plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions.
  • Design and develop fabrics for various products, including home care items, novelty items, personal care items, and toys.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of textile design principles and trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in textile design.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in textile design or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of textile design principles and trends.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
