Medical Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at WELL Health Clinic Network Inc. - Centreview. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dermatologists in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative duties: answer phone calls, greet patients, schedule appointments, manage referrals and results, and handle private payments.
- Lab duties: prepare laboratory specimens, dispose of contaminated supplies, sterilize medical instruments, and run UVB machine.
- Patient care duties: coordinate patient care, check in, prep, and escort patients to exam rooms, prepare exam rooms, answer questions, and provide post-appointment advice.
- General duties: maintain patient confidentiality, perform administrative tasks, and assist with special projects as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as an MOA or MOA program certification preferred
- Work experience in a medical specialists' office an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and investigate problems
- Open, positive, and accountable
- Ability to work part-time hours (3 days per week) with potential to cover sick/vacation time
- Experience with EMR system (Accuro) an asset
