Lead a High-Performing Team
Sharp Bus Lines Limited is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our service shop. As a strong and experienced team leader, you will be responsible for managing, leading, and mentoring your staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily tasks, prioritizing and adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations at all sites.
- Produce work schedules, monitor attendance, and manage budgets.
- Delegate responsibilities and individual projects to mechanics, and provide training and guidance as needed.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage new employees.
- Ensure adequate resources and staffing to meet safety needs, regulations, and project schedules.
- Emphasize the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment, including training on safety gear and procedures.
- Monitor and manage budgets, and report to the Regional Manager.
- Project management, including scheduling, coordinating, and supervising projects.
Qualified Applicants Must Have:
- 310T and 310S certifications.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Lead Hand or Foreman position.
- Experience with computerized work orders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid G-Class Ontario Driver's Licence.
- School bus experience is considered an asset.
This is a Monday-Friday day shift position, offering a great opportunity for a Lead Hand looking to take the next step.
