Cost Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team in Vancouver or Burnaby, British Columbia. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for managing the complete project control cycle throughout the execution of projects, including setting up projects, monitoring, controlling, and reporting.
Your Role:- Manage project budgets, potential changes, change orders, commitments, accruals, progress, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including planning and scheduling teams, for project controls data reconciliation and integrated project reporting.
- Participate in regular meetings with project teams, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure project progress and achievement of objectives.
- Follow up with project teams on regular project forecast updates, including estimating remaining project costs and provisions.
- Prepare and transmit project performance reports to management, as well as other documents related to project portfolios.
- Manage cost allocations related to the purchase of goods and services through the procurement process.
- Ensure project progress follow-up with discipline managers, including cost and schedule controls.

- University degree or college diploma in engineering, accounting, or business administration.
- 5+ years of experience in a related role within an engineering or construction environment.
- Proven ability to understand complex project planning, scope, schedule, work breakdown structures, and cost breakdown structures.
- Knowledge of project control systems, including cost and schedule budget setup.
- Highly proficient in Excel with strong logical and problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
