Executive Chef Job Summary

Friday Harbour Resort Holdings Inc is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary production of our food and beverage outlets, events, catering, and grab-and-go services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the culinary department
  • Create and implement policies, procedures, and processes for the culinary department
  • Develop and execute menus to ensure product quality and food cost management
  • Oversee menu development to ensure consistency and high-quality food presentation
  • Manage productivity and expenses in accordance with business demand
  • Hire, train, and develop a successful team of culinary employees
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in culinary management
  • 5 years of Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience required
  • 3-5 years' experience in a comparable position in a luxury hotel/resort operation
  • Red Seal and/or Certified Chef de Cuisine considered an asset
  • Food Handler and Smart Serve certified
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance
