About the Role:

Control Tech Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance shop in Grande Prairie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe execution of repairs to equipment, as well as providing mentorship and guidance to direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute repairs to equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Identify required repair parts, materials, labor, tooling, equipment, and repair procedures.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and supervision to direct reports, including apprentices.
  • Ensure performance management, including discipline, is maintained on a regular basis.
  • Oversee the training and development of employees.
  • Manage workorders and inventory.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to working.
  • Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation preferred.
  • Familiar with meter runs, chemical pumps, turbines, bench proving, valves, actuators, etc.
  • Oil and gas experience preferred.
  • Leads by example.
  • Works well with all levels of employees and management, internally and externally.
  • Capable of working alone and in isolation or in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IFS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, MWO).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Safety Tickets.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
