Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Geophysical Specialist to join our team at ESG Solutions. As an Energy Transition Geophysical Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Manager of Energy Transition and ensuring high-quality deliverables across all projects in Western Canada.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Serving as the primary technical liaison with clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention.
  • Providing expert quality control (QC) and technical guidance to the team.
  • Leading by example, completing project work with the highest quality standards.
  • Innovating and developing new features for our Energy Transition clients in collaboration with the Software and Engineering departments.
  • Integrating processing and analysis across various data types, including surface, downhole, fiber, EM arrays, and more.
  • Conducting advanced analyses of earthquake and microseismic data, applying techniques such as SMTI, velocity models, and hazard analysis.
  • Establishing and maintaining standard procedures for Energy Transition projects in Western Canada.
  • Engaging in business development activities to generate new opportunities and expand our client base.
  • Training and mentoring team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Professional designation (P. Eng., P. Geo, or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Eligibility for licensing with APEGA as a P.Geo.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Leadership experience will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
