At Chan Nowosad Boates Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for analyzing clients' financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures, and internal control. Your expertise will be essential in preparing financial information for individuals, departments, or companies, as well as preparing reports and audit findings. Additionally, you will be responsible for recommending improvements to accounting systems and management practices, conducting field audits, and providing financial, business, and tax advice.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. You will be required to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze clients' financial records
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures, and internal control
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies
  • Prepare reports and audit findings
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act, or other statutory requirements
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Examine accounting records
  • Provide financial, business, and tax advice
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
