We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Clinical Coordinator to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transcribe and process clinician orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients, including scheduling appointments and communicating with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Organize patient information and prepare documents for clinical teams, ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Provide receptionist duties, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
  • Participate in onboarding and orientation of staff, demonstrating work procedures and answering related queries.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff by adhering to safety policies and standards.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program, plus one year's recent, related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively, including patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to keyboard 40 wpm and operate related equipment.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of computer software applications.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
