Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on building systems design. They will be responsible for:

  • Developing technical specifications and designs for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Collaborating with junior engineers and designers to prepare contract documents and working drawings
  • Serving as a leader and mentor to small to mid-size teams, developing clear career development plans and conducting regular performance reviews
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on AutoCAD and Revit models
  • Providing expert knowledge in heat loss/gain calculation, pipe sizing, sanitary and storm system design, and natural gas pipe calculation
  • Staying up-to-date with industry standards and codes, including NBC-AE, ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, and CSA
  • Participating in business development activities to secure new projects through client liaison and proposal preparation
  • Performing duties individually or as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
