Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Planning Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and executing the asset management program with specialized expertise in capital planning and implementation activities. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the principles of asset assessment and building science, as well as experience presenting recommendations and securing funding approval from senior and executive management. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute asset management programs with specialized expertise in capital planning and implementation activities.
- Champion innovation, lead change management initiatives, and provide exceptional service to clients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and implement asset assessment management processes and tools.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and meet client needs.
- Present recommendations and secure funding approval from senior and executive management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- University degree in a relevant field such as engineering, building science, mathematics/statistics, data science, or business management.
- 6 years of capital planning work experience or related experience such as capital project delivery, operations & maintenance, statistical forecasting, or infrastructure planning.
- Strong understanding of the principles of asset assessment and building science, including fundamental knowledge of typical building systems and site components.
- Experience presenting recommendations and securing funding approval from senior and executive management.
- Familiarity with ISO 55001, Asset Management Standard, and O.Reg 588/17, Infrastructure for Jobs and Prosperity Act.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

- Professional Engineering Designation an asset.
- Asset Management designations an asset.
- LEED Certification an asset.
- PMP Certification an asset.
