Job Title: Chief Partnership Officer

Wawatay Native Communications Society is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Partnership Officer to lead our organization's strategic partnerships and community engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including Nishnawbe Aski Nation, government agencies, and private sector organizations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including community leaders, business owners, and residents.
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote Wawatay's mission and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff and contractors to ensure effective project management and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a senior role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of business operations, asset management, marketing, finance, and business processes related to economic and business development activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and one of the languages of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation communities.
  • Post-secondary MBA in Business Management, Commerce, or Finance.
