About the Role:


As a key member of our Housekeeping Team at Château de Mercuès, the Housekeeping Department Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Housekeeping Department, ensuring seamless guest experiences.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Housekeeping Department in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Develop and implement effective housekeeping strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they meet our service standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and implement sustainable cleaning practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual budget for the Housekeeping Department.
  • Participate in the renovation, upgrade, and deep cleaning of the Château during the annual closure.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in managing housekeeping operations, with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of sustainable cleaning practices and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible scheduling as needed.
  • WHMIS knowledge and certification an asset.
