**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietetic Specialist to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a Dietetic Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the nutritional quality and food safety of meals provided to clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for adapting and verifying menu plans, performing necessary compilations and reports, and controlling the preparation and serving of food. You will also guide staff in implementing work and hygiene techniques, develop and standardize recipes, and participate in the qualitative and quantitative control of stocks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Coordinator of the Administrative Unit - Hospital Services to plan, produce, and organize food services for the Chisasibi Hospital and Elder's home
  • Ensure the nutritional quality and food safety of meals provided to clients
  • Participate in the implementation of the Traditional Foods Program, including keeping records, logs, and annual reporting

Requirements

  • Diploma of collegial studies (DEC) in dietetics techniques from a recognized school
  • Food safety and hygiene certification recognized by the MAPAQ, up to date and renewed
  • At least one year of experience, with two years of relevant experience being an asset
  • Experience working with First Nation or cross-cultural environments is an asset
