R360 Environmental Solutions Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Waste Treatment Operator to join our team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of waste and other materials.

Job Purpose

The Waste Treatment Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment, and water injection. The successful candidate will be in constant contact with customers and must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plant safety, including ensuring that each operation is following SOPs and safety work procedures
  • Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion, and water & vac trucks
  • Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing, and pump maintenance
  • Conducting boiler operations, testing, and steam system operations
  • Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly plant checks
  • Performing general cleaning duties throughout the day

Qualifications/Competencies

The successful candidate will have:

  • A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or equivalent
  • Preferably 4th or 5th class power engineering
  • A valid and acceptable Driver's license and successful completion of pre-employment testing
  • Valid and current safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS, and TDG
  • A strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
  • Proven ability to work well under frequent supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills
