About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at the Community Counselling and Resource Centre. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and balanced.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as administer benefits and other employee-related programs.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders, as required.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all financial transactions and activities are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and identify and mitigate any potential risks.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, database software, MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, and a team player.
