About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at the Community Counselling and Resource Centre. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and maintaining general ledgers.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Assist with payroll processing, including calculating and preparing cheques, and maintaining employee benefits records.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and support to management, including preparing financial reports and making recommendations for financial improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, database software, MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, and a team player.
