Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as an On-Call Relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make the open road your office. As an on-call relief mail carrier, you will be responsible for delivering mail to various communities on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver mail in a safe and timely manner, ensuring excellent customer service and projecting a positive image of Canada Post.
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles.
  • Ensure mail is securely stored and transported.
Requirements:
  • Valid permanent provincial driver's license (probatory license not accepted)
  • Satisfactory safe driving record
  • Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements:
  • Fifth door/hatchback vehicle with minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission and power windows
  • Canada Post identification and required automobile liability insurance
