Job Title: Program Specialist

Join the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority as a Program Specialist and contribute to the development and implementation of primary care initiatives.

Job Summary

The Program Specialist will work closely with the Primary Health Care branch, Manitoba Health, to lead, consult, and coordinate activities related to primary care and primary care home policy. This role will play a key part in the development and expansion of primary care initiatives, providing consultation to primary care providers in business practice change management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management, including developing project plans, monitoring implementation, problem-solving, and reporting.
  • Development, implementation, and evaluation of provincial policies, standards, protocols, and frameworks.
  • Research, including needs assessment, literature review, critical review, and analysis, developing options.
  • Writing, reporting, and communications, including advisory notes, TB submissions, and issue sheets.
  • Developing consultative relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in a healthcare-related setting.
  • Experience in and knowledge of service coordination, specifically for hard-to-reach and underserved populations.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, standards, protocols, and/or frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related social science or administration field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant healthcare field.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work some flexible hours and may be required to travel within the province and across Canada.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
