Job Title: Family Service Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Service Worker to join our team at Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services. As a Family Service Worker, you will play a critical role in providing short and long-term services to families at risk of child protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of risk and provide intervention services to families and their children.
  • Collaborate with the service team and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis representatives to make shared decisions related to child admissions and discharge.
  • On First Nations territory, you may carry a generic caseload and perform duties of Assessment, Child and Youth Service Workers, and Alternative Care Worker.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Social Work Degree or BSW equivalency; or Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field, and a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience working with children and families.
  • Candidates with the above qualifications who are members of, or eligible for membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers are preferred.
