We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Coordinator to join our Architecture Department in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing architectural services to support the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings and documents for building permits and other regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate with external architects and engineers to ensure compliance with Mattamy's standards and Ontario Building Code requirements.
- Review and revise architectural drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare budgets and review quarterly estimated cost to complete reports for each community.
- Participate in Value Engineering of new designs to optimize construction costs and efficiency.
- Prepare architectural memos, miscellaneous details, and drawings for internal staff and external consultants as required.
- Architectural Technology Diploma from a Community College or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of construction or architectural experience, with residential construction preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in drawing application programs, particularly AutoCAD, and MS Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to check documents and drawings for accuracy.
