About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Apollo Homes Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment, as well as refill tanks, to prevent damage and extend lifespan.
  • Complete accurate and detailed logs, including onboard and other records, to track equipment usage and performance.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to identify and address any issues before use.
  • Prepare and submit accident reports in a timely and professional manner.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to optimize routes and reduce downtime.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and skills to resolve issues.
  • Work a regular 35-40 hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to ensure seamless collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance, or equivalent experience.
