Job Title: Licensed Optician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Burlington, ON. As a Licensed Optician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and precise fitting of eyewear, and maintaining a high level of optical acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing exceptional support and service
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, and demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, achieving exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
  • Take pride in store appearance, help maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store environment
  • Inform management of safety opportunities, demonstrate safe work practices, and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State Licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
  • Embracing new technology and change

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and retail experience
