Amgen SA is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in Vancouver, Canada. As a key member of our Discovery Protein Sciences group, you will play a crucial role in designing and generating complex biological molecules for small and large molecule discovery programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and generate complex biological molecules using mammalian and non-mammalian expression systems.
  • Purify and characterize biological molecules using various techniques.
  • Collaborate with our state-of-the-art synthetic biology Biofoundry to accelerate protein generation.
  • Contribute to initiatives around structural biology and the development of innovative approaches to mitigate the immunogenicity of therapeutic proteins.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of industrial or postdoctoral experience.
  • Strong appreciation for quantitative approaches and desire to interact closely with data scientists.
