Amgen SA is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in Vancouver, Canada. As a key member of our Discovery Protein Sciences group, you will play a crucial role in designing and generating complex biological molecules for small and large molecule discovery programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and generate complex biological molecules using mammalian and non-mammalian expression systems
  • Purify and characterize biological molecules using various techniques
  • Collaborate with our state-of-the-art synthetic biology Biofoundry to accelerate protein generation
  • Contribute to initiatives around structural biology and immunogenicity mitigation
  • Interact closely with data scientists and researchers across research and development

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of industrial or postdoctoral experience
  • Strong appreciation for quantitative approaches and data analysis
  • Commitment to diversity and equity in the workplace
