Job Title: Senior Advisor Regulatory Governance

Join National Bank as a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Governance, and be part of the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the IRM units in the governance of risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an expert in risk management regulations, providing guidance and support to IRM units.
  • Manage regulators' requests and coordinate the compliance of risk management frameworks with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Formulate recommendations to strengthen the effectiveness of controls and support managers in their decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate and ensure the completion of initiatives aimed at attesting the compliance of risk management frameworks with regulatory guidelines.
  • Represent the Bank to various agencies and bodies, including regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
Requirements:
  • Industry-related bachelor's degree and 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, or an industry-related master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in risk management or regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to ensure effective coordination and partnership in multi-stakeholder mandates.
  • Demonstrated strong skills with respect to influence, communication, and writing.
  • Good knowledge of the regulations applicable to banks (OSFI).
