About the Position

We're seeking a creative and motivated Merchandiser to join our team at Brand Momentum. As a Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for forecasting sales figures, creating displays that draw customers' attention, and regularly analyzing data to see how our store is doing. This is a territory route within the area from Scarborough to Ajax and Pickering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Implement Merchandising Strategies: Develop and execute merchandising plans to boost sales and drive revenue.
  • Create Attractive Product Displays: Design and implement visually appealing product displays to draw customers' attention and drive sales.
  • Analyze Sales Figures and Trends: Analyze sales data to determine which products to continue selling and which to replace, and make recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Manage Product Inventory: Monitor and manage product inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Organize Promotions and Advertising: Plan and execute promotions, advertising campaigns, and markdowns to drive revenue and clear out excess product.
  • Act as a Liaison: Serve as a liaison between customers and the company, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor Competitors: Monitor competitors' pricing, marketing, and profit margins to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Restock Shelves: Restock shelves as needed to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing store environment.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in merchandising or retail is required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent spoken and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong Time Management Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills are necessary to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyze data and predict retail trends is critical for success in this role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of industry-specific marketing strategies is an asset.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is necessary to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
