Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Produce Buyer to join our team at Big Brothers Food. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of produce.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to maximize value for Big Brothers Food.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent overstocking and understocking.
  • Review requirements and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring quality and freshness.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
