We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Student to join our team at Construction PCL Inc. as an Estimator Assistant. In this role, you will assist our experienced estimators in preparing and reviewing quantity surveys, bid documents, and other estimating-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating Support: Assist senior estimators in preparing and reviewing quantity surveys, bid documents, and other estimating-related tasks.
- Quantity Surveying: Conduct quantity surveys and provide accurate and detailed reports to senior estimators.
- Bid Document Control: Assist in the preparation and review of bid documents, including bid forms, bid schedules, and other supporting documents.
- Subcontractor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, including soliciting bids and negotiating contracts.
- Job Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that projects are being executed in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to senior estimators, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
- Education: Currently enrolled in a construction-related program or has a degree in a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in a construction-related field, including estimating, quantity surveying, or project management.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
