About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our construction projects, providing accurate and detailed estimates to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of contract documents, including isometric, as-built, and engineering drawings, to determine project requirements.
  • Establish critical path schedules and completion timelines to meet contract completion dates.
  • Complete full quantity take-off of labor, equipment, and materials for larger scopes.
  • Lead pricing for general expense and project-specific general requirements for medium to large projects.
  • Assist in presenting estimates and proposals, and prepare client presentations.
  • Perform quantity, material, and labor take-off from drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Document all information relating to the estimate and archive it for future reference.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analysis for review by the chief estimator.
  • Liaise with external consultants and project management organizations to estimate project budget requirements.
  • Monitor client project-specific success criteria and provide solutions to meet their needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or trade experience.
  • Gold Seal certification in estimating required.
  • 12 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, with 12 months of onsite experience preferred.
  • Successful experience leading pursuits valued up to $250 million in delivery model hard bid/lump sum, construction management/cost reimbursable/target price, and/or design build.
  • Experience with self-perform estimate and productivity understanding.
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take-off procedures, trade contractor procurement, pricing, and bid closing procedures.
  • Ability to lead successful teams and develop productive working relationships with owners, peers, and industry representatives.
